Chard (n): A black coal like substance, for years small pieces could be picked up right off the ground in the plains. This was until its discovery as a fuel sorce. When burnt, Chard emits an incredibly strong smoke, which can be used to smaller, steam-powered vehicles. The plains have been mostly mined dry of chard, and therefore it is becoming increasingly more rare.

Gundaren (n): A reddish rock, found in deep mines and cliff faces. Gundaren is used primarily for patching large building materials.

Quitte (Keet) (n): An incredibly strong slab rock found in cliff sides. When broken or shattered the pieces are sharp enough to cause deep lacerations which lead to their implementation in weaponry. Quitte naturally caters to the strength and sharpness needed for axes, swords, and various other tools of battle. A Quitte sword is nearly guaranteed to not break.  Quitte found in the cliffs of Olmeer and the Quarries of Scigfried have a characteristic black coloring. Many soldiers following an officer of high rank are given weapons made of pure Quitte, to signify their importance to the region.
